I'm not sure how it works but it does - nice cooli

I loved my pillow before, however now I love it even more. I'm a bit of a wierd sleeper maybe. I always want my body to be as warm as possible - I even use an electric blanket, however I always want my head to be nice and cool. I don't usually achieve this without a small desk fan blowing gently at my face while I sleep. However, this pillow has changed that. It doesn't look much to look at, and I have no idea how it works, but it does. Even before putting it on my pillow, it's cool to the touch. It makes such a difference how cooling the material is. It feels soft, smooth and good quality material. Now I feel like I'm laying on a fresh soft pillow for the first time - that instant cool feel that usually goes after a few moments as your face warms the pillow, however this cooling feel remains, which I love. I'd definitelry say this is good value for money and I would recommend.

Silkily soft & initially very cool!

The media could not be loaded. Gosh, whatever next;- "Silky Soft and Breathable Cold Pillowcases"! I was intrigued by this product and wanted to try the Pillowcases for myself to to see if they would make a difference to my night time comfort. At first I was sceptical about the idea of a "cool-to-touch" fabric, especially when the fabric in question is synthetic! These Pillowcases are 90% nylon and 10% spandex;- and, if you are as old as me you may also have distant memories of similar sounding names of synthetic materials used for bedding in the1970's that were anything but "breathable and cold"! However, I believe that the nylon component of these contemporary Pillowcases is specifically designed to dissipate heat faster than regular cotton, whilst the small amount of spandex included in the "mix of materials" provides the Pillowcases with "stretchability" to help ensure a secure fit onto the pillow. Importantly, these Pillowcases have a "Q-MAX 0.4 rating", and yes, believe it or not, "Q‑MAX" is a real scientific measurement used in textile testing. It is a measure of how quickly a fabric can absorb and transfer heat away from your skin. For example, normal cotton has a Q-MAX rating of between 0.1 and 0.2. (Which is not very "cooling".) However, fabric with a rating of 0.3 or more would be classed as "noticeably cool". Now,- back to these Pillow cases with their Q-MAX of 0.4+, a rating which is so high as to put them into what is referred to as the “cold touch” category! So, with their Q-MAX rating of 0.4+ the fabric of these Pillow cases is designed to feel cool immediately. Of course that doesn't mean that they will stay ice-cold all night, it simply means that when your head "hits the pillow" it feels cool and so helps prevent a build‑up of heat. Just how long that initial "coolness" lasts will depend upon a host of other factors such as the materials used in the actual pillow inside the Pillowcase and the ambient temperature of the room. Ok, so that's the "technical stuff" dealt with,- now to the actual Pillowcases and how they performed in the real world of my bedroom! Firstly, the Pillowcases appear to be very well-made with no obvious flaws or loose stitching,- and the zip closure of each has a beautifully smooth positive action. (see video accompanying this review). After a few nights acclimatising to the Pillowcases I can confirm that initially they do indeed feel very cold when I lie down in bed to sleep, and I really like their silky smoothness next to my skin. During short periods of wakefulness in the night (normal for me) I've not been aware of the Pillowcases feeling cooler than my old ones made from cotton;- but they do certainly feel softer and even a bit "slippery"! In the Summertime maybe I'll be even more appreciative of the initial cooling sensation offered by these Pillowcases as that should help me drift off to sleep more easily during warmer nights. Care of the Pillowcases is unusual as it is recommended that they only be washed in cold water;- and doing so will save energy at a time of very high heating costs! However, as I don't have any other items that are recommended for "machine washing in cold water" I can't justify a whole washing machine cycle for just a pair of Pillowcases, so I'll try handwashing them. Another feature of these Pillowcases I really like is that they don't seem to crease in the way that cotton does, so that should result in "no ironing required" ! In my opinion these Standard Size 50x75 cm Pillowcases represent reasonable value for money as they are well made, delightfully soft and comfortable next to the skin,- and, initially very cool!

Cool to touch - maybe will help you get to sleep o

My husband in particular is always too warm at night so I thought it would be interesting to compare these to some cooling pillow protectors I bought a couple of years ago. They arrived nicely packaged in cardboard but sadly with plastic inside. Once opened I was surprised at the fabric, it’s stretchy and I guess I wasn’t expecting that. They do feel very silky compared to a cotton pillowcase, and immediately cool when you touch them to your cheek. But of course the ultimate test is overnight. I was unsure if these were supposed to be pillow protectors or actual pillowcases, decided on the latter and gave them a go. I guess because we’re so used to cotton these take a bit of getting used to. They fit well and have a zip closure, but I think they need it or they would slide off. They are a very different feeling when you sleep on them. My husband initially was pleased but after a couple of days he said he really couldn’t tell the difference, but that even if he feels cooler initially maybe that’s a good thing to help him get to sleep in the first place. I’m not sold on the texture of them and I prefer the look of a standard pillowcase. I have got around this by using this cooling pillowcase on my bottom pillow and switching them around before I get into bed. They have washed fine and seem well made. It says don’t tumble dry but I have. I’ll keep using them but not sure I will buy more when they wear out - definitely take a bit of getting used to, but for warm sleepers it might be worth a try! I’m impressed by the company’s ethos though, it’s not a brand I had heard of, but they celebrate they are woman owned and have a more genuine and celebrated history than many brands on Amazon. I think this is evident in the quality and attention to detail in the product

Well Made

I have had silk pillowcases before which are supposed to stop bed hair by being smooth and without static. They feel pleasant but I’m not sure they have really had a positive effect on my hair. These pillowcases, in terms of preventing frizz, are no better and no worse but they do have a few advantages over the real thing. They do feel very pleasantly soft. They are well made - I really like the zips which are more secure and effective than the usual pillow closures. They are quite generously sized to begin with and they then have some give in them which is brilliant - I have a Simba pillow which is quite large but with lots of give and squishing it into a pillowcase defeats the objective of its well designed comfort. Thus far, the pillowcases exceeded my expectations. I’m not quite so convinced by its cooling properties. It does feel cool when you first put your cheek on it but within a few moments, I can’t really detect any difference from an ordinary pillow case. At £18.99 for the pair, they are not the cheapest of pillow cases but they are well made and comfortable even if not particularly cool and in that sense I can recommend them.

Well made - cool and fresh fabric

I ordered this set of pillow cases to try this cool to touch fabric to help with my restless nights. This fabric is just amazing. It feels really fresh, soft and silky. You do however have to move around the pillow to get the full benefit and the most coolness. Compared with other brands that I have seen, these look really well made with both strong and neat stitching and robust zips. As the fabric is so slippery, the zip fastening is needed to hold the pillow inside the case, preventing it from sliding out. These pillow cases really make a difference to my sleep - they are great not just for sweaty heads but for hot summer nights - and also for people with restless nights such as myself!. The fabric is machine washable and can be tumble dried - at a low temperature though. At £18.99 at the time of writing this review, they seem very reasonably priced for the quality and well worth a try.

Cool, smooth and easy on hair

These pillowcases feel noticeably cooler than standard cotton from the first use. The fabric has a soft, silky finish that’s comfortable without being overly slippery, and it does a good job of staying breathable through the night. If you tend to run warm or deal with night sweats, they help take the edge off and feel fresher for longer. The smooth surface is also kinder on hair and skin, with less friction compared to rougher materials. The zipper closure is a nice touch, keeping the pillow fully enclosed so it doesn’t bunch up or slip out. It’s neatly stitched and doesn’t dig in or catch, which can be an issue with cheaper designs. Overall, these are a solid upgrade if you want something cooler and a bit more comfortable than basic pillowcases. They look good, feel well made and do exactly what they claim. Ideal for warmer nights or anyone looking to improve comfort without spending a fortune.

The pillowcases have a premium look and feel and f

I really love these pillowcases, I already use a Bedsure duvet cover and sheet. The material the pillowcases are made from is surprisingly weighty, it is also cool to the touch. The pillow cases are a generous size and easily fit over our memory foam pillows. They are so nice to sleep on, they have a premium look and feel about them, and although they are cool to the touch they also make us feel comfortable in a cosy sort of way. I haven’t noticed any hair benefits from sleeping on the Rayon material, but my hair is quite short. The pillowcases machine wash easily, the only thing I would say is that it’s best to get them nice and flat when drying on a line as they do crease easily. I loved reading about how the Bedsure brand evolved and the GentleSoft technology they offer. At £18.99 for a pair, I think these pillowcases offer good value for money considering the quality and comfort they offer. The pillowcases are obviously made to last. I really like that the pillow cases have a zip, so no waking up in the night with your pillow half hanging out of its cover. I would definitely recommend them, they look nice too.

Certainly silky

Certainly lives up to the claim of being silky. I like the zip closure, runs well and looks finished off well, as does the whole pillow case. Not only could this be used as a pillow case, but also as an inner case, we always have 2 pillow covers. I'm not a fan of the fashion for using the phrase cooling. That's impossible to do. They might not keep the heat, but can never cool. It's a trendy phrase. Price wise I think they are good at just under £19 the pair. Time will tell if they stand up to a lot of use.

Soft cooling pillowcases

A set of two standard-sized pillowcases. They have zipper closures. The pillowcases are made of nylon fabric. They feel cool. I'm not a big fan of nylon and polyester fabrics for pillowcases, but I ordered these for occasional use. They are machine washable and tumble dryable on a low setting. We previously had a cooling blanket and it was very helpful when my son had a fever. It kept his body temperature under control while he slept. If you usually feel warm, these will help while you sleep. This tightly woven nylon fabric seems like it will last a long time. We chose the grey ones, but other colour options are available too.

Not Magic, But Definitely More Comfortable

I’ve used similar cooling pillowcases before and they were a godsend during heatwaves, so I had high hopes for this set. The material here is thin but has a nice weight to it, and the overall quality is solid — especially the zippers, which feel sturdier than most budget bedding. They pair really well with a cooling blanket, and while they aren’t magic (nothing truly “cools” you down), they absolutely make hot, sticky nights more bearable. The best moment is that first lay‑down at night — the fabric has that instantly cool, smooth feel that regular pillowcases just can’t match. Value‑wise, they’re decent for the quality. You get a well‑made pair that does exactly what you want them to: take the edge off warm nights and make sleep a little more comfortable.

Effective cooling and a much-improved night's slee

I have found these pillow covers to be a great addition to my bedding, and they have genuinely made a difference to my comfort levels. As someone who suffers from hot flushes throughout the night, I felt their benefit immediately, the fabric is noticeably cool to the touch and stays refreshing for much longer than standard cotton cases. I can certainly report a much better sleep since using them, as they seem to help regulate my temperature and prevent that uncomfortable overheating that usually wakes me up. The silky soft texture is very gentle on the skin, and the zip closure is a thoughtful touch that keeps the pillow neatly in place without any slipping. It is also reassuring to know they are certified, as the quality of the material feels superior and safe for long-term use. They are very easy to care for and have washed beautifully, maintaining their cooling properties and smooth finish. Overall, it is a very practical and effective solution for hot sleepers or anyone dealing with night sweats.

Soft and silky.

These are very attractive pillowcases, they're generously sized and very soft and silky. The fabric feels very cool to the touch and has a Q-max value of 0.4 and is OEKO-TEX 100 standard certified. Q-max is a measure of coolness - cotton has a value of ~ 0.11, bamboo ~ 0.15 and silk ~ 0.19 with most technical cooling fabrics being in the 0.4-0.5 range. OEKO-TEX 100 standard is an internationally recognised independent certification for textiles to ensure they're free from over 1000 harmful chemicals. Excellent. I like that these pillowcases have a zipper fastening - I think the silkiness of the fabric could make pillows slide out of the case so it's nice to know they're secure. The colours are subtle and soothing, they're comfortable, breathable, shrink and pill resistant, machine washable and feel luxurious. What's not to like? The company has an inspiring backstory and their products are highly rated so I'm as confident as I can be that the quality is as good as it first appears. These aren't the cheapest pillowcases out there, but they're comparable with similar products and for hot sleepers like me I think they may help a lot, certainly in the warmer months. At £18.99 for a pair (as at 4 April 2026) I think these are good value and worth consideration.

Bedsure 2-Pack Cooling Pillow Cases – Silky Soft,

I received the Bedsure cooling pillow cases and have been testing them for the past week. The first thing I noticed is how soft and smooth the fabric feels — it’s silky against the skin and gentle on hair, reducing friction and helping prevent tangles. The material is breathable and has a cooling effect, which keeps me comfortable throughout the night, especially during warmer evenings. They fit standard pillows well and stay in place without slipping. Washing is easy, and the fabric holds up nicely without fading or losing its softness. I also appreciate that they come as a 2-pack, so I can have a fresh set while the other is in the wash. Overall, these pillow cases perform exactly as expected: soft, breathable, and hair-friendly. I’m very satisfied with how they work and would recommend them to anyone looking for comfortable, cooling pillow covers that protect hair and improve sleep comfort.
